CONNECTED COUPLES APP | EVERYDAY CONNECTION SURVEY https://www.connectedcouples.app/research/everyday-connection-survey Version 1 · Published September 7, 2026 The plan, before the results This project is funded and run by Connected Couples App, which sells optional app subscriptions. That commercial interest and recruitment through our website may influence who takes part. We are publishing our plan so readers can judge future findings with those limitations in view. Purpose Describe everyday conversation habits and preferences among the adults who choose to respond. This is not a clinical study, diagnostic tool or test of whether Connected works. Population and unit Adults aged 18 or older who say they are currently in a romantic relationship. Each response represents an individual, not a verified couple. Eligibility is self-reported. English-language, worldwide participation; no geographic population estimates. Recruitment and dates Open, unpaid links on the Connected website, starting September 7, 2026. Planned close: December 6, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. UTC. Visitors may share the same link. No outreach campaign has been conducted for this launch. Any later recruitment channels or changes will be disclosed with the report. Sampling An opt-in convenience sample. There is no random selection, sampling frame or weighting. Respondents may differ from other adults or couples; multiple partners may participate without being matched. Findings cannot represent “all couples.” Questionnaire The seven questions above appear in the same order for everyone. No branching, randomization, incentives or relationship score. Blank answers and “Prefer not to answer / not sure” are treated as missing, not as zero. Quality checks The form accepts only predefined options and uses a hidden bot field, an idempotent submission ID, a browser completion flag and best-effort network rate limits. We do not verify identity and cannot guarantee one response per person. We will exclude known QA records and responses with all seven answers missing, and disclose suspected abuse, exclusions and any changed rules. Short completion time alone is not an exclusion. Analysis plan Report unweighted counts and percentages for each answer, alongside the number who answered that question and the missing count. No causal claims, significance tests, “compatibility” index or population margin of error. If app users and nonusers are compared, label the groups as self-selected and disclose their sizes. Publication threshold We will review at least 100 usable responses before deciding whether there is enough quality data for a descriptive report. This is an editorial minimum, not a guarantee of representativeness or statistical accuracy. Do not publish subgroup tables with fewer than 30 respondents, or cells with fewer than 10 people; also suppress complementary cells if subtraction could reveal a small group. What we will release A dated report with collection dates, recruitment details, usable and excluded counts, question-level denominators, limitations, and downloadable aggregate tables with a codebook. Individual responses will not be published. If the data is too limited or compromised, we will explain why rather than manufacture findings. Download the questionnaire & codebook (CSV) · Download methodology (TXT) Our disclosure approach draws on AAPOR’s disclosure standards . This does not imply AAPOR review, membership or endorsement. Privacy and consent We collect the seven selected answers, survey and consent versions, a random submission ID, and a submission timestamp. We do not ask for names, email addresses, exact locations, account IDs or free-text descriptions. Responses are stored separately from app accounts and partner pairing records. We do not use this survey to send marketing. To limit repeated submissions, the browser stores a completion flag and a random submission ID, not your answers. The server derives a daily one-way network token from the request’s IP address. Tokens are kept in a separate rate-limit table, without a link to response records; old tokens are removed on subsequent submission attempts after two days. Hosting providers may also retain IP addresses in technical logs. Submission is voluntary. You may leave any question unanswered, or close the page before submitting. Authorized Connected administrators can access responses for analysis and quality checks. We will share summaries only, with small groups suppressed. To ask us to locate or withdraw your response, contact support with the submission receipt shown after you send it. Without that reference, we cannot reliably identify your answers. Withdrawal cannot undo summaries that have already been distributed. Questions about the project or privacy? Use Connected support . Our privacy policy explains our general practices.
