About Kayla
Kayla Crane is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Denver, Colorado, specializing in couples work, attachment, and emotional intimacy. She founded South Denver Therapy and serves as the clinical co-founder of Connected.
Connected grew directly out of Kayla's clinical practice. Too many of her couples were doing meaningful work in session — and then losing the thread between appointments. Connected is the practice infrastructure she wished she'd had: structured daily questions, weekly check-ins, conflict tools, and assessment frameworks that turn one-hour sessions into a daily practice.
Every feature in the app is designed in the room by a practicing couples therapist — not adapted from a wellness template. Every check-in question is one Kayla asks her own clients. Every conflict prompt has been tested through years of real session work.

Editorial & Clinical Standards
Every article on the Connected blog is written or clinically reviewed by Kayla. The standards are simple:
- Research-based. Claims are grounded in published research from the Gottman Institute, attachment theory, and emotionally focused therapy.
- Clinically honest. If a claim is anecdotal or contested, it is labeled as such — never inflated to sound authoritative.
- Actionable. Every article ends with something a couple can actually try this week. No fluff, no generic affirmations.
- Updated regularly. Posts are reviewed at least annually for accuracy and current research.
