A coach, not a chatbot

Every answer is grounded — and shows its work

Ask Connected doesn't guess. It reads the real signals you've created together inside Connected, then gives you one clear, doable next step instead of a generic lecture. And because every answer is labeled with the sources it used, you always know why it's saying what it's saying.

Why couples need this

Relationship questions don't wait for your next appointment

The hardest moments happen at 11pm, mid-argument, or the morning after — long before a therapy session or a friend's reply. You need guidance that's there in the moment and that actually understands your relationship.

Generic advice doesn't fit

Articles, podcasts, and AI chatbots give textbook tips that ignore your history, your patterns, and your partner. The advice sounds reasonable but rarely applies to the conversation you're actually about to have.

Therapy isn't always available

Couples therapy is valuable, but it's expensive, scheduled weeks out, and impossible to reach in the moment a fight flares up. Most relationship friction happens in the gaps between sessions.

Ask Connected fills the gap

A private AI relationship coach that already knows the two of you, available 24/7, giving specific next steps drawn from your real data — and pointing you to professional help when something serious comes up.

How it works

From a real question to a real next step

No prompt engineering, no setup. Just ask the way you'd text a wise friend who happens to know your whole relationship.

1

Ask in your own words

Type a real question — “Why do we keep fighting about money?” or “How do I bring up that I felt dismissed last night?” No special phrasing required.

2

It reads your context

Ask Connected pulls from what you've shared in Connected: daily answers, moods, gratitude, goals, weekly check-ins, assessments like love languages, and your conflict reflections.

3

You get one calm step

Instead of a wall of generic tips, you get a specific, doable next step — often with the exact words to try — each one labeled with the sources behind it.

4

It stays yours

Your conversation is private to you. Come back anytime to keep a thread going as the situation evolves, and the coaching keeps getting sharper.

Grounded in your real data

What makes the advice specific to you

Ask Connected is only as good as what it understands — so it's built on the signals couples actually create in Connected, both partners included.

Daily answers

Your responses to daily relationship questions reveal what each of you values, fears, and hopes for — the raw material for grounded advice.

Mood check-ins

Patterns in how you've each been feeling over time help the coach connect today's friction to what's really going on underneath.

Gratitude & goals

The appreciations you send and the goals you set give the coach a picture of where you're strong and where you're trying to grow.

Assessments

Results from couple assessments like love languages and communication style let the coach tailor advice to how you each give and receive love.

Conflict reflections

Aggregate insights from your Conflict Analyzer reflections — never raw transcripts — help the coach see recurring patterns.

Weekly check-ins

Deeper weekly reflections add the longer arc — how the week actually went for both of you, not just a single moment.

Sees both of you

Built for two perspectives, not one

Most advice only ever hears one side. Because both partners contribute to Connected, Ask Connected understands the relationship from both points of view — so it can name a dynamic fairly instead of taking sides. The same intelligence powers the relationship insights you'll see across the app.

The difference

Ask Connected vs. a generic AI chatbot

Asking ChatGPT about your relationship and asking Ask Connected are not the same thing.

Your conversations are yours.

Relationship work only happens where there's trust. Ask Connected is built privacy-first — and it knows when to step back and point you toward real help.

Private to you

Your questions and the coach's answers are never visible to your partner. Your partner's private notes and unrevealed answers are never shown to you.

Aggregate, not exposed

Sensitive history like conflict reflections informs the coach as patterns and counts — never as raw transcripts or quotes.

A real safety net

If the coach detects signs of crisis, self-harm, or abuse, it pauses and surfaces the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and the National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233).

Questions

Ask Connected, answered

What is Ask Connected?

Ask Connected is an AI relationship coach built into the Connected couples app. You ask a real question about your relationship in your own words, and it replies with one calm, specific next step grounded in everything you and your partner have shared in the app — your daily answers, mood check-ins, gratitude, goals, weekly check-ins, assessments like your love languages, and your conflict reflections. Every answer is source-labeled so you can see exactly where it came from, and your chat is always private to you.

How is it different from ChatGPT or other AI chatbots?

Generic AI chatbots only know what you type in the moment, so they give textbook advice that may not fit your relationship. Ask Connected already knows the two of you. It draws on your real, structured relationship data — both partners' assessments, moods, goals and patterns over time — to give advice that fits your actual dynamic. Every answer shows its sources, it's grounded in relationship science from researchers like Dr. John Gottman and Dr. Sue Johnson, and it's designed specifically for couples rather than individuals.

Can my partner see what I ask?

No. Your conversations with Ask Connected are always private to you — your partner can never see your questions or the coach's answers. The coach can draw on what your partner has chosen to share inside the app (like revealed answers, shared goals, moods and reflections), but it never reveals your partner's private notes or unrevealed answers to you, and it never reveals yours to them. You can also use a private solo mode that includes only your own private notes.

What does it base its advice on?

Ask Connected grounds every answer in the real signals you've created together in Connected: your daily question answers, mood check-ins over time, gratitude and appreciation notes, weekly check-in responses, relationship assessments such as love languages, shared goals and values, your conflict reflections, and your relationship repair history. The more you use the app, the more specific and personal the coaching becomes — and each answer is labeled with the sources it used.

Is Ask Connected a replacement for couples therapy?

No. Ask Connected is a supportive coaching tool, not therapy and not a substitute for professional care — especially for serious challenges like abuse, infidelity, or a mental-health crisis. Think of it as steady, private guidance available 24/7 between the big conversations. If it detects signs of crisis or harm, it pauses the coaching and surfaces real resources, including the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and the National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233).

How much does it cost?

Connected is free to download, and you can ask your first question free. Ongoing coaching is included with a Connected Premium subscription, which gives your couple a pool of monthly coaching credits. Couples who want unlimited coaching can upgrade to Premium+, and additional coaching credit packs are available as one-time purchases.

Do both partners need the app?

You can start asking questions on your own, but Ask Connected gets dramatically more useful once both partners are using Connected. When you each answer daily questions, log moods, and complete assessments, the coach can see both perspectives and give balanced, specific guidance instead of one-sided advice. Your individual chats always stay private to you.
